Sustainability charter

Sustainability is important to everyone. MonsieurAlfred is getting greener every step of the way, while still providing you the quality products you deserve.

Made to order
Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. What’s more, one in every five items produced by the fashion industry reach landfills without being worn even once.
As MonsieurAlfred works with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner's high-quality printing tech creates almost no wastewaters and uses less energy than standard industry printers.

Limiting waste
MonsieurAlfred products are made using the made-to-order production approach, fulfilling only the items our customers actually want.
All apparel orders are using packaging made of post-consumer recycled plastics and we use only one poly mailer bag to package them. While for posters, we are using triangular boxes instead of tubes with plastic end caps.

Efficient shipping
Around 78% of the orders are delivered in the same region they’re fulfilled. Having fulfillment centers close to our customers is good both for the business and the planet. Strategically located fulfillment centers allow for faster shipping times and lower shipping costs, and it also helps with reducing the CO₂ emissions produced when transporting orders.

Eco-friendly products and reliable quality
The better the quality, the longer the product lasts. We work with suppliers that produce high-quality products that last many washes, keeping print colors vibrant and the fabric soft.
Our eco-friendly product collection consists of items that are made of 100% organic ring-spun cotton for the t-shirts and 85% organic ring-spun combed cotton / 15% recycled polyester for the hoodies.
All our products that have been certified GOTS and OEKO-TEX.

Efficient printing
Our products are printed with the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique. With DTG, ink is sprayed onto the garment, which helps it soak better into the fabric and makes the print less prone to fading.
We use Kornit machines and inks. Kornit uses high-quality, water-based vegan inks that they formulate, test, and produce in their own factories. Kornit inks are non-hazardous, toxin-free, biodegradable, and certified with an OEKO-TEX Eco Passport.
We print our posters with Epson inks that are certified by GreenGuard. For our all-over print products we use Mimaki printers—their inks are also certified with the OEKO-TEX Eco Passport.
